In the UK we carried on with our jobs and made 2/3 long day trips back to France. We had scoured the internet, done our research and the more we looked the more excited we became. We had found the area where we wanted to be. Somewhere near the hilltop village of Duras in the Northern tip of the Lot-et-Garonne. To the North the Dordogne region (little Britain), and to the West the Gironde and the famous wines of Bordeaux, I knew very little of this region apart from my wine background.
