Re-ignite your passion for cooking! with beautiful local French produce
We’re super excited for the first cooking class of the year! Both of us are eager to dive in. April is the perfect time for lobster, and we’ve got some fantastic truffles and mushrooms saved up. Plus, we’re hopeful to find some fresh asparagus and strawberries. It’s time to hit the market and see what treasures we can discover!

Itinerary
DAY 1 Friday Get ready to unleash your inner chef. We shall meet you at Bergerac Airport and embark on the picturesque 30-minute journey to our beautiful home, “Les Caulins.” After a brief tour, kick off your shoes, grab a cool drink, and relax. We will meet at 7 pm, for our first evening meal, starting with a local aperitif, delectable canapés, and a four-course dinner paired with exceptional local wines.

DAY 2 Saturday Help yourself to; continental breakfast, croissants, toasted mais bread, house Jam, tea, coffee Juice, eggs if you wish etc….
A visit to Ste Foy la Grande street market to get some wonderful fresh ingredients and take a stroll around and a coffee in one of the cafés. Back to the house for lunch and ready for some cooking in the afternoon.
The first of our cookery and preparation sessions; Important knife skills just to check you’re not going to injure yourselves. Onions, tomato concassé, lamb persillade, fondant, salmon rillettes, Bourguignon and finally crepe suzette.

DAY 3 Sunday Help yourself to tea, coffee Juice, & if you would like Emma’s beautiful scrambled eggs and truffle….
Todays prep; Vacherin, crab tian, soufflé, fricassee, choux pastry
Late Lazy French Sunday Dinner French Sundays embody a remarkable culinary tradition, celebrated for their leisurely pace and rich flavours. These gatherings begin with delightful aperitifs and exquisite canapés, setting the stage for a multi-course feast that highlights seasonal ingredients. As the meal progresses, guests savour an array of dishes, each paired thoughtfully with fine wines, enhancing the overall experience. The meal culminates with a selection of fine cheeses, bringing a delightful contrast in textures, followed by the refreshing touch of ice cream, making every Sunday gathering a memorable celebration of food, conversation, and community.

DAY 4 Monday Help yourself to; continental breakfast/ warm croissants, toasted mais bread, house Jam, tea, coffee Juice, etc….
A visit to Maison Guingets chocolate shop/factory and a visit to Duras and our local market. A coffee at our local café Sylvy’s.

Back at the house a lunch of award winning Goats Cheese that has been made just 2km from the house by the wonderful shepherdess Stephanie.
After a lunch a tour at one of our local vineyards.

DAY 5 Help yourself to; Continental breakfast/ Croissants, house Jam, Tea, Coffee Juice, etc…depart for the airport.
What’s included?
accommodation in a room with a super king-size bed, Egyptian cotton bed linen, flat screen TV, English channels, en-suite bathroom with walk-in showers;
All meals: breakfast, nibbles, lunch & dinner.
All aperitifs & wine with meals. Coffee, tea, biscuits and cakes.
All ingredients for the cookery course.
Bergerac airport pick up.
Transportation throughout the weekend.
What’s not included?
Please note that flights are not included in the package. If you would like to hire a car, it’s not necessary as we will provide transportation throughout the weekend. Our location is conveniently situated 35 minutes from Bergerac Airport and 80 to 100 minutes from Bordeaux.
Travelling from Bordeaux to our location is quite straightforward. The new tram system, which is located just outside the airport terminal, offers a direct route to Bordeaux’s central train station. From there, you can catch a direct train on the Bergerac-Sarlat-la-Canéda line, alighting at Ste Foy la Grande. We would be pleased to pick you up from the station, which is just a 15-minute drive north of our location.
