On Sunday, after a Continental breakfast/ Croissants, house Jam, Tea, Coffee Juice, etc….We have 2 options for the group; We can visit the beautiful medieval town of Issigeac, which is one of the top ten prettiest markets in France. After buying some amazing local produce and a coffee in one of the many cafés we can then head back to the house to relax by the pool where we can enjoy a French style lazy Sunday lunch. French Sunday lunches are celebrated for the way people take their time to enjoy multiple courses of food accompanied by good wine and good conversation. Late in the afternoon as the day starts to cool we start with aperitifs and canapés, Oyster if you all like them followed by whatever is in season on a large sharing board. Then a typical French main course followed by local Cheese and we end with Emma’s homemade Ice Cream. Alternatively we head off for Lunch at Soumensac. Soumensac’s Marchés des Producteurs is an unforgettable afternoon. On a beautiful hilltop, vendors sell and prepare regional specialties. You’ll find just about every kind of duck product, all kinds of barbecued meats, some of the fattest escargots, fresh salads made with seasonal vegetables, refreshing fruit desserts, crêpes, fresh bread and of course, plenty of regional wine. After a very long, lazy lunch we head back to the house to relax by the pool and finish the day with a light supper.

Monday after breakfast a quick visit to Duras and our local market and the producers from around our house. We also visit Maison Guinguet, one of Frances finest chocolate factories and their beautiful shop. A great place to buy gifts and treat yourself to some indulgent chocolate. Back to Les Caulins for some lunch of the days market purchases and beautiful ripe, sweet fruit. An afternoon by the pool if you wish or you can get involved with some cooking and preparing the evening BBQ. We will show you some dishes for summer garden parties, tricks and tips of the trade, lovely marinades & salsas and refreshing summer salads.
We will fire up the woodburning oven or BBQ and show you some amazing wood roasted food you can impress you your freinds with back home & we will also touch on fun drinks, cocktails & fizz. All enjoyed in the warm French Summer sun Al Fresco.
