The perfect time of year for for everything Summery, Lamb, pork and shellfish are all in abundance. We will also make use of the great new season Summer vegetables, berries, amazing Roussillon peaches and get creative on the BBQ.
A perfect short break in the beautiful South West of France with the emphasis firmly on the all that is in season and lovely Spring weather. Three nights; A mix of market visits, relaxing, wine tasting, a tiny bit of cooking, great food, great wine and good company. The three night break will leave you wanting more of the Lot-et-Garonne lifestyle, far reaching views, peacefulness and relaxing way of life.
Example itinerary
DAY 1 Friday We will pick you up at Bergerac Airport and take the picturesque 30 minute drive to our house “Les Caulins”. A quick tour of our house, relax, kick off your shoes, have a drink & settle in. We will meet at 7pm for aperitifs, canapés and a 4 course dinner with local wines.

DAY 2 Help yourself to; Croissants, house Jam, tea, coffee Juice, etc ….
A visit to Ste Foy la Grande market, one of Frances busiest street markets, to get some wonderful fresh ingredients and have a stroll around and a coffee in one of the cafés. Back to the house for lunch and ready for some cooking in the afternoon. For those wishing to visit a winery we can visit a local vineyard and have a tour and taste some wine.

Lazy Sunday Alfresco lunch Sundays in France are a family day and much of the time is spent around a large table, outside, preparing and eating food and enjoying the day. It is a time to unwind after a busy week and enjoy the sunshine, relax with nice food, accompanied by good wine and good conversation. We start with aperitifs and canapés, Oyster if you all like them followed by whatever is in season. Cheese follows and a typically simple dessert.

DAY 4 Help yourself to; Toasted mais bread, house Jam, tea, coffee Juice & creamy scrambled eggs.
After breakfast and if you flight times are agreeable, Monday begins with a trip to our local bastide town Duras and the weekly market. Then on to one of the areas best chocolatiers at the Maison Guinget shop and chocolate factory. This is a great place to sample the amazing chocolates and buy gifts. Depart for the airport
